Get Yourself Together-1/21/26'
This weeks GYT focused on Duke quarterback, Darian Mensah and the lack of customer service at X.
Today’s Get Yourself Together on the show came with a personal lament. I am honestly getting so pissed. I just don’t understand how a company as large as X can be this bad at customer service.
If you haven’t been keeping up: exactly two weeks ago my @ChildersRadio account on X was hacked. I feel like such an idiot that it happened to me. I let my guard down and got screwed as a result. Normally I’m great at sniffing out B.S. online, but this time the hackers hit the emotional heart strings and suckered me into their trap.
It all started when I received a DM from Chip Brown — long-time media member covering Texas and a former co-host of mine. Chip and I used to do Sunday nights together on college sports radio back in the BCS era. I’ve always liked him and considered him a friend. So when I got a message asking me to vote for him in a podcast contest, I agreed.
My spidey-sense kicked on at first — I even wrote back, “If this is legit, sure, you’ve got my vote.” The hacker replied: “Yes, it’s legit! Thank you so much, let me know after you vote.” And that’s when I took the bait, hook, line, and sinker. Now I’m sitting here two weeks later with zero access to my account.
Great timing as I launch my Substack, huh? More than anything, I’d love to use my social presence to promote this new venture and drive awareness — but I can’t. The hackers changed the email and phone number on the account, so I can’t recover anything.
I’ve tried everything. I’ve filed countless reports. I keep getting told that it’s a “repeat case.” I’ve sent DMs through a new account, emailed actual employees I’ve tracked down, and gotten nothing. Crickets. And the insane part? I pay for the account! It’s a premium subscription and yet I can get nowhere.
How is this possible? How can Elon Musk run a platform so many people rely on for their businesses and livelihoods, and yet have almost zero customer support for paying subscribers who get taken advantage of? How do you just ignore them? It’s insanity.
Please, X — for the love of all that is good in the world — GET YOURSELF TOGETHER.
Now, for the other Get Yourself Together…
Duke QB Darian Mensah — what are we doing here? The kid signs a contract with Duke and is expected to honor it. Not exactly a radical concept. As a SiriusXM employee I can’t just walk out the door tomorrow because someone offers me a deal too good to be true. Non-competes exist for a reason, and it’s entirely reasonable for a school to protect its investment.
Yet here we are. Miami appears willing to do whatever it takes to fill the QB void left by Carson Beck’s graduation, and openly tampered to convince a quarterback to bail on his current school at the worst possible time. Duke is left completely out of luck, with no real avenue to recover.
This is madness. And someone told Mensah this was okay. Where are his agent? His parents? Anyone with sense?
To all involved — GET YOURSELVES TOGETHER.

The commissioner needs to step in and figure this out , obviously no one at Miami took contract law
