I’ll cover Sunderland AFC and life in the Premier League, Nashville SC, Chesterfield FC, Motherwell FC the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, and the stories, clubs, supporters and traditions that make this the world’s game.
But this isn’t meant to be another scores-and-transfers podcast. I want to talk about why soccer matters—the culture of clubs, the communities around them, supporter ownership, the strange traditions, the great stadiums, the people you meet and what American soccer can learn from the rest of the world.
Some weeks we’ll obsess over Sunderland. Some weeks it’ll be Nashville or the USMNT. Other weeks I may disappear down a rabbit hole involving a tiny club in Scotland, a supporter-owned team somewhere in Europe or something I saw on a Saturday morning that I can’t stop thinking about.

I’ve spent my career talking sports. Soccer has increasingly become the sport I want to talk about when nobody is telling me what to talk about.
