Hello Chris. My name is Jeff Dahn and I am 68-year-old retired sportswriter from Cedar Rapids Iowa. The first 30 years of my 45-year career were spent in the print media with it's unreasonable deadlines and other daily headaches related to that low-paying career I chose. I adapted and the last 15 years spent deadline free on the internet were a great way to go out. Just wanted tot ell you how much I enjoy Full Ride and your banter with Rick. Trust me, you more than hold your own. You are a very good writer and I look forward to your further contributions. Thank you ...
I am weeping! Hey Pony, what entity created the NCAA anyway? Can’t the same entity simply dissolve the NCAA and build a new structure set up for the modern world in its place? Is that even a viable solution ?
Excellent. What happens if it actually disappears and is replaced by an umbrella commission similar to NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB? Maybe the commission can give it a new set of operating criteria or actually do away with it. Ask the NCAA to justify its existence to the players, students, schools and fans.
This is the reality of today’s college sports!!!! As the saying goes read it and weep!!!
Hard agree on all of this. They made their bed, now they gotta lie in it.

Received my The Show Pony t-shirt today. It is awesome! Keep up the great work on your Sirius XM show Full Ride with your co-host Rick Neuheisel.
Hope your day is well!
